Get involved
The house gets made ready byordinary hands.
We are a small ministry with more work than people. Most of what gets done around here is done by volunteers who give a few hours at a time — a Saturday with a paintbrush, a Tuesday night cooking dinner, an afternoon driving someone to an appointment.
You do not have to be part of this ministry, and you do not need to be experienced. Tell us what you can do and when, and we will find the place it fits.

Where hands are needed
Six ways to be useful here.
Make the house ready
Painting, flooring, patching, hanging doors, cleaning the house from top to bottom, making a room ready for someone to live in. No experience needed — you will be working alongside our crew.
Cook and serve a meal
The household eats together most nights. Bring a meal, cook in our kitchen, or help stock the pantry. This is the single most useful thing most volunteers do.
Tutor or mentor
Help a child with schoolwork, or walk alongside an adult who is rebuilding work and life. Consistency matters more than expertise here.
Drive
Appointments, job interviews, moving furniture, getting children to where they need to be. If you have a vehicle and some hours, that is a real need.
Give your trade
Electricians, plumbers, roofers, painters, HVAC — our own crew does the core work, but licensed help lets us take on work we would otherwise pass up.
Pray
Join the prayer team that carries every request by name. No schedule, no travel, and no less important than any of the rest.
Tell us about you
Offer your hands.
Fill this in and someone will call you — usually within a few days. There is no commitment in asking, and no obligation to say yes to everything we suggest.
Would rather just talk?
(480) 268-5787Volunteers who will be around the children in the house are asked to meet with us first, and we may ask for a reference. It is not a formality we enjoy; it is how we keep the household safe.
